Meet Emily she is one of the newest memebers to our family! She is the payroll specialist and admits that people and finance are what she enjoys the most! She is numbers queen and working at VBA has opened her eyes to all the people she is helping while doing it.-
How long have you been at VBA and what is your position?· I’m a Payroll Specialist and i’ve been with VBA for one month.

What inspired you to pursue a career in this field? I’ve always loved to help people, and especially with their finance or payroll needs.

What do you like the most about your position and the least? I love helping others with their finance questions, and being able to audit some of the leave balances. There’s nothing that I don’t like about my position because I enjoy working.

If you weren’t at the office, what would you be doing instead? I would be reading, cooking or doing outside activities such as walking.

How do you define success? Success is accomplishing your goals, whether long or short term goals.

What three books would we find on your bookshelf at home? To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, and The Man Next Door, and The Giver

How has outside knowledge or experiences prepared you for this role? The outside knowledge working for Albertsons and VONS grocery chain has helped me be prepared with Payroll processing and Payroll system conversions.

What’s the most interesting place you’ve travelled to? Florida was the most interesting state I’ve travelled to because the beach and restartnes are wonderful.

Who is your personal hero and why? My parents are my personal hero(s) because they taught me not to give up. Also, they taught me to believe in myself in order to achieve my goals.
