ABA Services in Lake Elsinore

We are proud to provide ABA services for clients in Lake Elsinore and its surrounding area. Our credentialed professionals deliver effective ABA services for individuals and organizations alike. And fortunately, many of our clients are eligible for publicly-funded programs. Primarily, we work with children and young people affected by autism or developmental delays. Once we establish the client’s eligibility for our program, we conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine which behavioral skills to work and the best methods to reach our goals. 

Understanding ABA Services 

ABA, or Applied Behavior Analysis, is a strategy that has been developed to help individuals improve their social skills, including verbal communication, listening skills, self-management skills, and other behavioral patterns. VBA provides ABA services in Lake Elsinore for a range of children with differing needs and abilities. By using consistent, proven methods, we help our clients improve their independence and ability to participate in a classroom environment. Example goals might include saying “mama” for the first time, being able to sit through a movie, or asking caregivers “why?” or “tell me more.” Like any behavioral practice, there is no one solution and no one “right” approach. ABA is a student-led process, designed to meet the student wherever he or she is. 

ABA Services Assessments 

VBA is committed to providing detailed ABA assessments for a range of organizations and individuals. We work with counties, schools, independent organizations, state agencies, and individuals on a regular basis. During each assessment, we analyze each individual’s strengths and needs associated with a variety of skills including:

• Self-management and adaptivity 
• Learning capabilities 
• Gross and fine motor skills

 

Once we’ve developed a full understanding of each child’s needs, we partner with their care providers to offer strategies and methods to work toward their unique goals. The case manager will develop an individualized plan, and one of our Behavior Interventionists will work one-on-one with the student to consistently work towards their goals. Each child is supervised and monitored by one of our BCBA certified professionals, who can adjust and tailor the plan to reflect current needs and developments. 

ABA Services for Parent Training 

At VBA, our intervention plans include the child’s family and caregivers. When building a strategy, we consider the dynamics in the home environment and create goals that can be consistently maintained. Our services provide parents with the right tools and strategies to help the child achieve and sustain their successes. 

About VBA 

VBA (Verbal Behavior Associates) was founded in 2012 based on the Verbal Behavior Development Theory (VBDT) of Dr. R. Douglas Greer and his colleagues at Columbia University. The VBDT looks at language development as it outlines a sequence of behavioral cusps. These cusps are necessary steps in the language acquisition process, that aid the development of social skills and behaviors. Our team is made up of 25 credentialed staff members (4 Ph.D.’s, 16 BCBAs, 5 BCaBAs), along with over 90 Interventionists & Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs). Together, we deliver ABA services with 20 school districts, including the Lake Elsinore region. We serve San Diego, Orange, and South Riverside County.
